Product Description

Flexible Joint Flanges: Mild Steel vs Ductile Iron

Flexible Joint Flanges are used to connect pipes while allowing slight angular deflection and flexibility. They are commonly used in water transmission, wastewater systems, and industrial piping networks.

1️⃣ Material Overview

🔹 Mild Steel Flanges

Mild Steel is a low-carbon steel known for its strength, weldability, and fabrication flexibility. MS flexible joint flanges are usually fabricated and may be coated (epoxy/galvanized/painted) to prevent corrosion.

🔹 Ductile Iron Flanges

Ductile Iron (also called SG Iron or Spheroidal Graphite Iron) is cast iron treated with magnesium to improve strength and ductility. DI flexible joint flanges are typically cast and factory-coated.
