Installing PVC strip curtains is simple and can usually be done with basic tools. Follow the steps below for a secure and professional setup.
✅ Tools & Materials Needed
* PVC strip curtain kit (rails + strips)
* Measuring tape
* Marker or pencil
* Drill and screws (if mounting to wall or ceiling)
* Screwdriver
* Step ladder (if required)
🪜 Step 1: Measure the Opening
Measure the width and height of the doorway/opening.
Ensure you have the correct number of strips and rail length to cover the area.
Allow for overlap of the strips (commonly 50% overlap) to ensure proper sealing.
🪜 Step 2: Prepare the Mounting Surface
Choose the mounting method: face fix (wall mount) or under lintel (ceiling mount).
Mark the positions of the holes using the rail as a guide.
Drill pilot holes in the wall/ceiling where the rail will be fixed.
🪜 Step 3: Install the Rail/Bracket
Secure the hanging rail or bracket using screws and plugs (if fixing into masonry).
Ensure the rail is level before tightening all screws.
Check that the rail can support the weight of the strips.
🪜 Step 4: Attach the PVC Strips
Unroll the PVC strips and cut them to the required length (if not pre-cut).
Insert each strip into the hanging plate/clip provided.
Attach the first strip onto the rail.
Continue attaching the strips one by one, ensuring they overlap correctly.
🪜 Step 5: Adjust & Final Check
Once all strips are installed, check for:\
Correct overlap (no large gaps).
Even bottom alignment (trim if necessary).
Secure fixing at the top rail.
Test the curtain by walking/rolling equipment through to ensure smooth passage.
