Product Description

Rubber Gasket: Full Face vs. Raised Face

Rubber gaskets are designed to provide reliable sealing between flanges, but the correct type depends on the flange surface – Full Face or Raised Face.

Full Face Rubber Gasket:

Covers the entire flange surface, including the bolt holes.

Designed for Flat Face (FF) flanges.

Provides complete coverage and protection against leaks.

Easier alignment during installation since bolts pass through the gasket.

Commonly used in low to medium pressure applications such as water, air, and non-critical pipelines.

Raised Face Rubber Gasket:

Fits only on the raised sealing surface of the flange.

Designed for Raised Face (RF) flanges.

Requires less material compared to full face gaskets.

Provides a strong, concentrated seal under higher pressure and temperature.

Widely used in oil, gas, chemical, and high-pressure applications.

Key Difference:

Full Face Gasket = complete flange coverage, lower pressure systems.

Raised Face Gasket = only sealing area coverage, suitable for higher pressure and temperature.
